BNY Mellon Charles Scharf to join Wells Fargo as CEO

Wells Fargo as appointed BNY Mellon chief Charles Scharf as its new CEO. Scharf has served as CEO of BNY Mellon since 2017 and prior to that served as chief executive of Visa and led the consumer operations of JP Morgan Chase. Scharf takes over from C. Allen Parker, who has served as interim CEO since the resignation of Timothy Sloan in March. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has approved the appointment.
