Alphabet Inc. announced that the Larry Page and Sergey Brin have left their roles as CEO and President respectively. Sundar Pichai, current CEO of Google, will now serve also as CEO of parent company Alphabet. Page and Brin, who co-founded Google in 1998, will continue to serve on Alphabet’s board. They retain control of a majority of the company’s voting rights, thanks to Alphabet’s dual-class share structure.
