Metro Bank's Chair resigns as company reports loss in third quarter

Metro Bank’s co-founder Vernon Hill has resigned from his Chair role with immediate effect. Hill will leave the board at the end of the year. The bank’s losses have continued to widen in the third quarter, as it struggles to recover from a reporting mistake which lead to large withdrawals from customers. The company is currently under investigation by the FCA and Bank of England.
